MATTHEW SMITH & INDELIBLE GRACE  |  Sept. 17  |  5:30 pm & 7:30 pm
Join us for a free concert with Matthew Smith & Indelible Grace. Matthew Smith is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter who writes brand new music to centuries-old hymn texts. He is a founding member of the Indelible Grace community, whose work has drawn acclaim across denominational lines and is used in churches around the world. Matthew will also give a seminar on hymns at 5:30 PM before the concert. For a sample of his music, click here.

If you want to learn more about the many opportunities to serve at FBC, Ministry Fair is for you!  During this event, you can meet and talk with ministry leaders and learn more about specific areas of serving that interest you.

FINDING HOPE & RE|ENGAGE  |  Fall 2015 Term: Tuesdays, Sept 15th - Dec 1st   |  6:30pm
Finding Hope is an evening dedicated to the pastoral care of those who are facing life-issues such as divorce, death and grief, abuse, co-dependency, addictions, self-control and boundaries, or who want to improve relationships with others in their lives. It is a network of small groups that provides encouragement and hope, seeking to enrich relationships. This fall, we will be offering a number of different choices including DivorceCare, GriefShare, and Boundaries, among others.  We are also offering our marriage enrichment ministry, Re|Engage. NEIGHBORHOOD TAILGATE   |   Oct 28th-Nov 1st   |   Your Neighborhood
Neighborhood Tailgate is an opportunity for you to bless your neighbors by inviting them to get together.  Work around your schedule and host your party anytime between Wednesday, October 28th and Sunday, November 1st.  The church will provide everything that you need to make that happen.  All you need to do is invite your neighbors and sign up.  Please register online by Monday, October 26th.  Supplies will be available to pick up in the lobby by Wednesday, October 28th.  Click here to register.

Join us the second Saturday of every month as we love the people of Topeka. We have outstanding opportunities to share the love of Christ with our community. As a ministry of Love Topeka, we volunteer in Hi Crest, one of the most vulnerable neighborhoods in Topeka. Several events are offered to give neighborhood residents opportunities to enjoy fellowship and build relationships. The events take place at Avondale East School located at 455 SE Golf Park Boulevard.  Click here for more information.

​LUNCH BUDDIES   |   Weekly   |   Topeka Public Schools
Lunch Buddies is a one-on-one, in-school mentoring program run by The Bridge for at-risk children in Topeka Public Schools.  We are looking for mature, loving, Christian volunteers, men and women, who will commit to serving for one school year.  Volunteers spend 30 minutes each week with one at-risk child.  The Bridge staff trains our mentors to do four things:  Show up, Listen, Love, and Pray.  Click here to register.

WOMEN OF FAITH CONFERENCE   |   Aug. 28-29   |   12:00 pm   |   Lincoln, NE
You are seen. You are known. You are free. Connect with a community of women that gets what you’re going through and with the God who loves you more than you know. The Women of Faith Conference is a weekend women's worship experience in Lincoln, NE on August 28th & 29th. Click here to view the promotional video. The cost is $106.45, which includes tickets for both days and lunch on Saturday. This cost can be paid online with a credit/debit card; space is limited. There are 6 hotel rooms with king size beds and 4 rooms with queen size beds available. King rooms are $128.12/room and queen rooms are $111.81/room; all rooms will sleep 4 people. Romans: Encountering the Gospel's Power. The gospel has power. The power to save us. The power to change the world. Join the women of FBC for an in-depth study of the book of Romans. [to]gather is an event for every woman of FBC, that they may be known, connected, and valued. Join us on Thursday, November 16, 2015 from 6:30-8:00 pm in Fellowship Hall for a cookie exchange, where you can meet new people and fellowship. FATHER/SON CAMP OUT   |   Sept. 25-26   |   5:00 pm   |   Shawnee State Fishing Lake
Ready for some outdoor time and fellowship with your son, grandson, or any boy you’re a father figure for? Come to our FBC Father/Son Camp Out at Shawnee Sate Fishing Lake, located just 15 minutes north of Topeka, Friday, September 25th at 5:00 pm until Saturday, September 26th at 11:00 am. Dinner, S'mores, and Breakfast will be provided. Activities will include but are not limited to yard games, fishing, and a fireside speaker. Cost of event is $10 per adult and attendance is limited to first 200 total attendees. -- Click here to register.
