Is Noah's Ark real or is it just myth? I have a hard time with this story of the Bible. There are so many different kinds and types and sizes of animals in this world. How could all those animals fit into the Ark? I asked this once to an old Pastor of mine and he said that animals change and become different over the years. So I asked him, "So you believe in Evolution?" he didn't answer me. Can you shed some light on this?
I believe that the story of Noah building the ark is real. I believe the ark God commanded Noah to build accommodated all the animals that God instructed him to fit into the ark. I don’t know the exhaustive list of animals and I don’t know how it was accomplished.
What I do know and believe is that the Scriptures are inspired by God and that they are true. This is a healthy starting point in reading and interpreting Scripture. God is true. His words can be trusted. He has given us all the information that we need for faith, life and godliness. Is the story extraordinary? Yes. Does it sound like a tall tale? Maybe. Is our God capable of accomplishing such a story and feat? Yes.
